The Mediterranean Festival of Amazigh Culture in Tangier celebrates its sixth edition this year. It is an event, which, since its creation in 2005 by the Association of Touiza in Tangier, seeks to strengthen and enrich the cultural and artistic scene of this city.
This cultural event organized by the Foundation of the Mediterranean Festival of Amazigh Culture in Tangier decided to adopt a new name for this festival, which is “Twiza” .
The new name of the festival and the slogan adopted for this sixth edition reflects the strength of the relationship between the Amazigh as a culture, civilization and identity, land. Indeed, the slogan: “Earth: Our Identity” has a special value on the internal meanings of a link that reflects the strong commitment of the man in his existential dimensions, cultural and social grounding.
The 6th edition of the Mediterranean Festival of Amazigh Culture of Tangier is designed to ensure the slogan “Earth: our identity, and this through a varied program which includes several musical concerts, exhibitions, conferences, and sports in different locations of the city of Tangier from the 22nd to 25th of July 2010. The bands participating in this event will give their performances in the open air playing rhythms expressing the strong relationship between identity and land.
